J. Thomas Hunton, frequently ignored, was the remarkable writer and the earliest pioneers in the genre of space fiction. Delivered in 1874 , his imaginative works, particularly “ Ballads of the Spacefarer ,” presented strikingly futuristic concepts of outer journeys and non-human encounters well before many other science fiction writers started
